Information & Assistance

Professionally trained Information and Assistance (I&A) staff provide older adults and their caregivers with current information on available services and benefits. NIAAA and local Information and Assistance sites help seniors apply for a full range of programs and services and supply reminders on when to reapply.

Individual consultations are available to seniors, caregivers and other individuals to answer questions and discuss concerns. Service is provided over the phone, in the office or in the home, if needed.

Help is available with a wide range of programs and services. Staff assist seniors and caregivers obtain a wide range of benefits by providing help and completing applications for tax assessment freeze, pharmaceutical help, financial assistance, Medicaid and Medicare.

There is no charge for the service, but donations are accepted.
